The Pierre et Vacances village has a good atmosphere with the swimming pool and the Le Balabou restaurant, which is very good, but the terraces are broken and the washing machine is broken.
Excellent welcome from the staff.
Very well located village.
The village has parking and a lot of security guards.
The two pools are good, just missing umbrellas, and there are also two beaches.
The room is good for a 3-star hotel; it's very average, but it has a great view of the gardens.
Big negative points: The daily behavior of the cook: Fernande, leaves much to be desired in terms of courtesy and respect.
Additionally, hygiene standards appear to be a concern, as she uses her hands to wipe off her sweat in front of you, before scooping up the steaks with both hands and placing them directly on the hob. Horrible... Also not respecting the type of cooking requested. Reported the first days but nothing changed until the end of the stay. This kind of situation harms the image of the hotel.
Regarding the hotel's entertainment, it is very insufficient, with a rating of 1/10. The facilitators lack organization, atmosphere and motivation. The animation is essentially music played through a speaker.
On the other hand, the hotel has advantages, notably a pleasant setting with a nice view, decent rooms with kitchenettes and a large main swimming pool where you feel good.
Overall pleasant hostesses.
Small private beach/cove to relax and put your feet in the water.
A memorable vacation, and we came back full of memories....a few remarks about the half-board restaurant in the evening. Sorry, but it's too much like a "canteen." The dishes offered are sometimes not great and always the same, but the breakfast is excellent. Regarding the room, it's a bit dated but
very functional and clean. The staff is always smiling and attentive, thank you.
I'm taking a small point off the rooms because you can feel the slightly old side that could use a bit of updating, but overall it's a great place to spend your vacation with family or as a couple. It's certainly a bit far from everything except Saint François which makes a rental car almost mandatory but otherwise the remote setting by the sea with 2 beaches (one a bit rubbish all the same) is truly magical and fully immersive. The overall atmosphere is incredible the staff is so friendly that you would want to spend the vacation with them. And the access to a mini market, 2 swimming pools and several restaurants, would almost make you want to cancel your excursions and spend your days there drinking rum in the sun.
