This building is quite old, but we appreciated its renovation: bathroom, kitchen, tiles.

Excellent equipment: dishwasher, coffee maker, vacuum cleaner, toaster, microwave, dishes... everything is brand new!

It's a shame you have to wander through the attic to get to the apartment.

And please, put an "elevator" pictogram on the doors on each floor instead of indicating stairs... it would save us from wandering around the hallways the first few days...
But it was still great!

⭐ Very disappointing stay despite a few positive points

We stayed at this residence for 20 days and unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations.

The main problem concerns the cleanliness of the common areas. In 20 days, we never saw a cleaning staff member. On several occasions, there was urine in the elevator, as well as dog excrement in the hallways. The children's playroom is also very dirty, with a floor that never seems to be cleaned. For a residence catering to families, this is truly regrettable.

Another major problem: the washing machines, which regularly experience network connection issues and are therefore difficult, if not impossible, to use. The person who comes to open the laundry room every morning also has trouble with the lock and sometimes takes several minutes to open it. She also told us that she had already reported the problem.

Parking is also very difficult, which adds another layer of difficulty to our stay.

Regarding Val Thorens, the resort is currently experiencing significant construction work, resulting in considerable noise. We understand that the residence is not responsible for this, but we are very disappointed that this information was not provided at the time of booking, as it is crucial information when choosing a holiday destination.

Regarding our accommodation, we found it very dark, poorly laid out, and lacking in cleanliness. There was very little storage space, and the vacuum cleaner provided was in a deplorable state.

⚠️ Also, be aware that families traveling with a baby should be aware that it was impossible to fit a crib in the bedroom of our accommodation. The baby therefore had to sleep in the living room, which is far from practical for several days or weeks.

Fortunately, there were some positive aspects: the beautiful mountain view, the option to change the sheets and towels when needed, and the friendly and helpful staff.

Unfortunately, despite these positive aspects, the lack of maintenance and cleanliness in the common areas, as well as the various problems we encountered, significantly detracted from our experience. For a 20-day stay, we clearly expected better conditions.

Nous comprenons que l'état de propreté des parties communes, que vous jugez insuffisant, ainsi que les difficultés rencontrées avec certains équipements et services aient fortement impacté votre expérience.

Nous entendons également votre déception concernant le logement, son agencement et ses capacités de rangement, ainsi que les contraintes rencontrées lors de votre séjour avec un jeune enfant. Ces éléments contribuent directement au confort quotidien et peuvent naturellement affecter l'appréciation globale du séjour.

Concernant les nuisances liées aux travaux dans la station, nous comprenons votre ressenti, d'autant plus lorsque ces éléments influencent les conditions de vacances. Nous prenons également note de vos remarques relatives au stationnement et à l'utilisation des équipements collectifs.

Nous apprécions toutefois que vous ayez souligné certains points positifs, notamment la vue sur les montagnes, la disponibilité du linge de maison ainsi que l'amabilité de nos équipes sur place. Malgré ces atouts, nous regrettons que les différents désagréments rencontrés aient pris le pas sur les qualités de la résidence.

Tiny, worn-out apartment, no double bed. Covered parking is extra. There's very little life in the resort; summer tourists must not be as profitable as winter tourists. Val Thorens could develop better because the demand is there.

Nous comprenons votre déception, Cecile, concernant les dimensions et l'état de l'hébergement, qui n'ont pas correspondu au niveau de confort que vous attendiez pour votre séjour. Les caractéristiques du logement et l'aménagement intérieur sont en effet des éléments essentiels dans l'appréciation des vacances.

Nous notons également votre remarque concernant le stationnement, ainsi que votre ressenti sur l'animation et la fréquentation de la station durant la saison estivale. Val Thorens propose une expérience différente entre l'été et l'hiver, et nous regrettons que l'ambiance présente lors de votre séjour n'ait pas répondu à vos attentes.

Nous vous remercions toutefois d'avoir partagé votre avis. Ces retours permettent de mieux comprendre les attentes de nos hôtes en matière de confort, d'équipements et d'environnement de séjour.

I came just for the weekend to enjoy the cooler weather and relax. Let's just say I didn't get any rest. First, I arrived at 6:30 PM, and the room wasn't ready, even though I could have arrived at 4 PM... I paid for parking, and the lot was empty all weekend. First, they gave me a spot where it was clearly impossible to get out of the car. Once parked, they gave me a new one, on the lower level (-3), with lighting that needs improvement... I finally got my room. I won't even mention the lack of directions to get there (the receptionist was annoyed because I wasn't happy...). The room, well, it was very old... No water pressure in the shower... The electrical outlets were loose... And the balcony was disgusting; I had to put my shoes on it to walk on it. A quick wash wouldn't have hurt. And the walls were covered in vomit?

As for the rest... I was disturbed 3 or 4 times by the housekeeping staff trying to get in, and of course, they kept insisting when they couldn't get in, making phone calls and shouting in the hallway or on neighboring balconies. The worst part is that the staff were noisier than the guests...
And to top it all off, I was supposed to check out at 11:00 AM, but at 11:05 AM I was called by reception because I hadn't vacated the apartment. The irony is that the staff couldn't even give me the apartment at 6:30 PM on Friday...

The manager supposedly told me they'd had a lot of departures that day, and well, I wouldn't want to be in the middle of winter season, it must be complicated. The receptionist's excuse was that I booked the day before. In that case, don't allow last-minute bookings if you can't handle them.

Tip: The receptionists on the 4:00 PM shift could at least check that they have all the rooms they need for the evening. Yes, Mr. Manager, you have to roll up your sleeves when you don't have a disciplined and efficient team. It's also a management issue.

I'll come back to Val Thorens because I love this resort, but not to this accommodation.

Malgré votre envie de profiter d'un week-end de détente à Val Thorens, plusieurs aspects de votre séjour ont visiblement altéré le confort et la sérénité que vous recherchiez. Nous regrettons que l'expérience proposée, depuis votre arrivée jusqu'à votre départ, n'ait pas répondu à vos attentes.

Nos équipes ont à cœur d'accompagner chaque hôtes dans les meilleures conditions tout au long de son séjour, et nous sommes désolés que votre ressenti n'ait pas été plus positif.

Nous vous remercions néanmoins d'avoir souligné votre attachement à Val Thorens. La station reste en effet une destination exceptionnelle pour profiter de la montagne en toute saison, et nous regrettons que la résidence Les Temples du Soleil ne vous ait pas permis d'en profiter dans les conditions espérées.
