The residence is basic but serves its purpose. You can reach it with the skis and it is a 5 to 10 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. It can be packed with tourists and that makes the us of the swimming pool and sauna not very pleasant. Personnel nice and welcoming. Not easy to find a parking space nearby

The residence is located up on the slope with significant elevation from the main village and without any paved/cleaned footpath, so one has to climb up a snowy (or at times icy) slope, so even a grocery shopping becomes a challenge, not speaking about arrival/departure. Other buildings in Chantel sector benefit from Dahu lift but not Roselend, as it’s too far from them. So it’s equally difficult to get there both from the center of the main village and from the center of Chantel. And the SkiSet rental station is also in the center of Chantel so one has to do even more climbing on the arrival day.
P&V site suggests to walk along the auto road, but there is no sidewalk, so it is not a good option, especially in winter. Not mentioned on P&V site though, there is a bus between Chantel and Charvet, which is helpful, but not very frequent - it goes every 30 minutes.

The service is not very friendly and professional. We arrived at 14:00 but our room was not ready yet. The receptionist Lena was not able to tell when it would be ready, but said that the contractual check-in time is 17:00 and until then it is not the problem of P&V, she even refused to give us a key from a ski room to put our equipment there. And nobody tried to speed up the cleaning of our room, possibly rearranging the cleaning schedule, considering that we already arrived. In the end of the day the room was ready only at 18:00 which is hardly understandable given that they request the guests to check-out before 10:00 in the morning. Apart from that, the receptionist Lena was not sure to which SkiSet station we should go to pick up our prepaid ski equipment which was a part of P&V booking.

So overall the location and the service are poor, on a positive side the design of the rooms is nice, but Wi-Fi is very weak, a view from the balcony is good, and there is a pool and sauna which is also nice. The drawbacks are somewhat compensated by a lower pricing, but overall I wouldn’t recommend it.

Small for what your paying for, also location is not great. Hotel is sat up the mountain compared to the location of the bars and restaurants. Nice pool and steam rooms. Staff were pleasant and all spoke very good English. We also had a fantastic view from our balcony.

We appreciate your honest review and are glad to hear that you found our pool and steam rooms enjoyable, and that our staff provided pleasant service, Ross. It's great to know that you also appreciated the fantastic view from your balcony.

We regret to hear that you found the accommodation small for the price paid and that the location was not ideal for your preferences. We understand that each guest has different expectations and preferences when it comes to location, and we apologize if ours did not meet yours.

Terrible website. Would be nice for there to be instructions on how to get to the residence, e.g. Chambery closest airport, either take a cab or train to Bourg-St-Maurice, Funicular to Arc 1600, Buss towards Arc 1800 getting off at Chavret, then either walk 10mins or take this another buss to Roseland(direction Chantel). Add links to buss&funicular timetable (they funicular only opens at 7am so avoid early flights!)

Booked for 2 weeks but had to change apartments for 1 week - which is fine, it happens with busy accommodation. However, having to check out of the first appartment at 10am and check-in the 2nd appartment at 5pm is an inconvenience - especially as there is no storage for our belongings. After much complaining to the reception they agreed to the solution to clean the 2nd appartment, let us move into it, then clean the first appartment. Having to wait for the 2nd appartment all morning instead of skiing wasn't fun.

The double bed is actually 2 single beds. Sleeping in the gap of the 2 beds isn't very comfortable for couples.

Saving grace, having direct access to the ski slopes and providing a ski storage

The staff are very friendly! They did what they could to help with the restrictions imposed

Great hotel. You'll be welcomed by friendly staff, who speak very good English. They answer all your questions about the resort in the most accommodating manner. Additional services are really helpful: morning delivery of fresh juice & pastry at 8am; free deliveries from Spar store, so that you don't have to carry your groceries up.
Perfect location: ski-in & ski-out to a ski-room with spacious personal lockers. Direct ski access to 4 lifts: Dahu (pedestrian or for hotels residents); Vagere; Villards; Transarc (possibly the most important lift in the resort).
Comfortable room with fully-equipped kitchen (including oven & dishwasher).
Pool is not huge & can get crowded after lifts closure (5pm) on a busy week (school holidays), but we really enjoyed 4 hammams & 2 saunas with different temperatures.
Dog-friendly, our furry buddy received a whole giftbag from the hotel.
We also got to check-in 3 hrs earlier, despite the busiest week of the year. Really grateful to the staff for this possibility, as we were exhausted after 6am train.
WiFi quality is laughable (and you probably won't get any 4/5G at this height from your cell provider), but we got to take rest from our gadgets. Not suitable for workation though.
I'd love to come back next year in a larger group.
