Friendly front desk staff, reception and pool area clean. Rooms tiny air con doesn't work bathroom could use a deep clean. We did know before going it was a 20 mins walk to the main strip however it wasn't manageable the hill was to steep so had to rely on taxis. Not expensive though

However, we regret to hear that the room size and the air conditioning fell short of your expectations. Our rooms come in different sizes and are equipped with individual air conditioning controls to ensure comfort for our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Moreover, we take note of your comments regarding the bathroom and will look into improving our cleaning procedures. The steep hill to the main strip can indeed be a challenge, and we understand that relying on taxis may have been an unexpected aspect of your stay.

Nonetheless, we hope that the proximity to the beach and the availability of our amenities such as the fitness room, spa, and in-house restaurant provided a positive aspect to your stay.

The rooms are clean and more modern than most hotels I have been to. However we had slipped floor boards which could have been a trip hazard if we were less mobile or had young children.

Some tiles in the bathroom were broken and coming apart but didn’t affect our stay. Just the details we noticed that would have been more appropriate for a 4 star if they were fixed.

The headboard of the bed was also scuffed and damaged which was a suprise for recently renovated rooms.

The waiting for lifts was despicable, expected in such a large hotel but perhaps something needs to be adjusted for these lifts to accommodate such a large hotel.

We spent very little time around the pool, mainly because the cost of drinks and food at the bar was expensive for the quality you got. We ordered a pizza one evening, and was essentially a flat bread with cold pizza sauce. Nothing was hot. We would rather go out and eat which is what we did.

The free shuttle is a credit to the hotel as it takes you to and from the beach. However note this picks you up from across the road rather than the yellow box which says bus which reception told us is where it picks you up from. This meant we missed the bus the first time.

The breakfast was average, was a shock it was 4 stars. The sausages were raw in the middle, the fight to make toast was a battle each morning. The juice is more like concentrated diluting juice than fruit juice we know in the UK. They had little fruit selection of kiwi, orange and grapefruit with apples or bananas changing each day. There are many reviews about the breakfast being underdone and the hotel responding it has been addressed which it has not. We told reception about this and were told it would be addressed… it wasn’t.

There was also an aggressive situation which happened at the hotel one night which lead the police to arrive. This is not the hotels fault however it would have been nice after it was dealt with for someone to come and ask guests who were around it and witnessed it if they were okay. There was very little duty of care to the guests who were innocently bystanders in that situation.

They also allowed guests to smoke marijuana within the hotel grounds, they smoked outside in the bar areas but still on the grounds of the hotel which was unpleasant as a non smoker.

The entertainment was never something we were entertained by. We appreciate this is Spanish themed as we are in Spain and we are always excited for something cultural and relevant for the place we are staying in (which was a response to a recent review addressing this). However they had Bingo, music and plate spinning, I would argue there is nothing particularly Spanish about this.

The Bingo was only in Spanish, therefore non-Spanish speaking guests could not take part. Nothing about the entertainment had a translation, so it did not feel like non-Spanish speakers could enjoy.

The cleaners of the hotel always did a good job, ensuring towels changed and beds were made. One day one of our room key cards was taken from our room (unsure why) and then we paid for a late check out on our final day. But the hotel deactivated our card which meant going back down to reception from a high floor and having to wait for the lift again to return back, in order to collect our things and change in time to leave for the airport.

Just back from a short break at the hotel.We could not fault it in any way.The room was spotless.Beds made each day ,towels changed daily and toiletries replaced.Breakfast was excellent,with great variety of hot and cold food.Staff very friendly and helpful.Hotel a little bit out but it runs free shuttle bus daily.Will definitely be returning.Couldnt recommend this hotel enough.We had great stay.
