Great place to stay. Been going here for years for my family and is amazing from facilities to rooms to the great view. Best of all is you can ski directly from and to the hotel meaning no buses needed unless late season.
Lovely hotel with stunning views ,friendly helpful staff .Outdoor hot tub and swimming pool were great after a day skiing, ski hire and shop on site very handy.
No doubt the accommodation is very comfortable, convenient, well designed and likely the prettiest hotel in resort, but I am one for first impressions and the smaller details, so, after 14 hours on the road, our welcome gift of a €90 parking charge to leave our car at the hotel for 5 days or park at one of the town’s car parks, was not quite what we anticipated. A more reasonable fee or the first day free of charge to make an informed decision perhaps?
We had 3 rooms and they kindly put us all in very close proximity to one another which was helpful. It's a decent building, short 5min walk (uphill) to the bus stop which took us into town (10min ride) for skiing (kids are beginners so couldn't use the ski in/out). The free busses are regular every 20-30min or so. In the evening after 6pm the building operates a free private shuttle and give you a telephone number to call the driver.
I was pleasantly surprised by how convenient everything was, on site car park (chargeable) accessible via lifts from the ground floor.
-2 has the ski lockers, ski hire shop and the supermarket (rip off merchants but useful nevertheless)
-1 had the spa (didn't use) and the free swimming pool which the kids enjoyed.
Ground had a a pool table, didn't spend much time there, looked decent.
The rooms were clean and although not spacious, well laid out. Not much space up open a large bag but we managed to unpack and use the wardrobes.
The safe was useful for personal possessions.
What I really would have preferred however is a cleaning service, like a hotel. Emptying our own bins was a pain, taking it down to -1 and if you don't empty your bins and clean your cutlery/plates you'll get penalised...
One of the kids vomitted all over the bed in the night and the overnight guy said he couldn't find a duvet, just presented us with some sheets which was a bit rubbish to be honest.
Kitchen had a coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle. We were also surprised that although there was an electric hob, and decent dishwasher, and microwave, there wasn't an oven, meaning you couldn't cook certain dishes.
It was nice of them to leave 5 dishwasher tablets, a sponge and dishwasher detergent, as well as a a cloth with some solution to clean surfaces, plus a dishcloth. We didn't have a black bin bag like othersbin our group. We were informed by the overnight shift guy we would need to buy our own.
It was stocked with towels, a couple of bathrobes, toilet paper and hand soap. Unfortunately we ran out of toilet paper and had to buy some from the shop (cost about 6 euros for a small multi pack).
We had a 2 bed with one double/ensuite bathroom, and another twin room. One shower and one toilet (both with sinks). Very decent offering to be honest.
Annoying that we had to bring our own shampoo and shower gel.
Room for improvement - cleaning and restocking whether it's toilet paper, towels, shampoo etc. would have got 5 stars if the annoying things were improved.
Otherwise decent, but doesn't feel like a holiday when you're washing up, cleaning, etc.
