General Impression of Our 6-Night Stay at Pierre & Vacances Hotels

Our stay at Pierre & Vacances was overall acceptable but fell short of expectations for a 4-star resort.

Villa:
The villa was decent but felt quite small and more like a 3-star accommodation rather than 4-star. It served its purpose but lacked the space and comfort we expected.

Reception Staff:
While some reception staff were very nice and helpful, our experience during check-in was tarnished by one particularly rude staff member, which left a poor first impression.

Restaurant:
The restaurant offered a good selection of meals, and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. However, cleanliness was an issue — we found small cockroaches in the stack of plates and frequently encountered dirty cutlery, which was concerning.

Waterpark:
The waterpark was acceptable but felt a bit run-down. The water was cold, and the facility lacked adequate changing rooms and toilets, with only one male and one female available, causing inconvenience during busy times.

Overall:
The resort feels dated and falls short of 4-star standards. While it may be suitable for a short stay, we would not recommend it to friends based on our experience.

Additionally, it is disheartening to hear about your encounter with one of our reception team members and we sincerely apologize for any rudeness experienced; this is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide. Concerning the cleanliness issues you mentioned, we uphold stringent hygiene standards and we will be reviewing our processes to ensure they are adhered to meticulously. Regarding the waterpark, we appreciate your feedback and understand that maintaining these facilities is essential for guest satisfaction. I rated the service four stars because some staff members were rude.

We wanted to sterilise our baby bottles and could only think of the buffet area, which had closed after dinner. Silvania, the supervisor or manager on duty at the time, allowed us to sterilise the bottles but seemed to watch us closely and gave us an uncomfortable look.

Additionally, we rented a baby bike for our child. My wife decided to demonstrate how to sit and ride the bike, but one of the staff members emerged and shouted, "Oh my God, what are you doing? Do you understand? It’s a baby bike!" I reassured her, saying, "Don’t worry; if it breaks, I’ll pay for it." The staff member responded in Spanish, exclaiming, "¡Madre Mía!"

I would rate the reception, bar, service team, chefs, and entertainment staff five stars.q
