The concept of the hotel is great, it is a huge resort unfortunately in the middle of nowhere. You definitely need a car if you want to explore the area, unless you are interested in relaxing in the resort with a day trip to Corralejo. There is a free shuttle to Corralejo 2x a day which is very convenient if you are a beach lover or want to do some shopping. Many activities available in the resort - amazing aqua park, mini golf, tennis, bike rental, …there is a small supermarket onsite open daily until late night. Staff are amazing, always helpful. Problem with the resort is the maintenance of the villas and the resort as such (the pavements are horrible) and the food. You can opt for self catering, breakfast, half board or all inclusive but the food is very basic.

However, we understand your concerns regarding the location and the need for a car to explore the area. Our serene setting is chosen for its peaceful environment, and while we acknowledge that some guests may find it remote, we provide a complimentary shuttle to Corralejo to help our guests experience the local beaches and shopping. For those who wish to venture further on their own, we recommend car rental for the utmost convenience. We regret to hear about the maintenance of the villas and the resort, including the pavements. We are in constant contact with the local municipality to address the public areas and appreciate your patience as these improvements are made. Regarding the food offerings, we strive to provide a variety of dining options to cater to different tastes and will review your feedback to see where we can improve.

Nonetheless, we are pleased that you found our staff to be helpful and accommodating throughout your stay. Our team takes great pride in ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and supported. The free shuttle service to Corralejo, which operates twice a day, is indeed a highlight for many of our guests who enjoy the local beaches and shops.

Fabulous Resort, but small apartments.
Staff are first class, friendly, helpful and very hard working. They will transfer you to your apartment if needed and will help you in all your needs if asked.
We stayed New Year week which was fully booked so no upgrades available. We booked a VIP one bed apartment for 2 Adults and two teenagers 16 and 14. They slept on the large double sofa bed, which was ok. We were very disappoint in the size of the apartment and wished we booked a two bedroom apartment, but hey, we only slept and got changed in here as we where all-inclusive.
The food was fabulous. Different every day and amazing choices. New Years Eve food was the best and highly recommended.
Plenty of choice of drinks too and lots of coffee machines for breakfast.
Entertainment staff. They do have 'Butlin' style staff who where all very hard working and great with the customers, but I do think the manager needs to upgrade his ideas, lovely chap but very old fashioned. If the customers want to dance the night away, let them and not stop the music for a stupid Limbo dance that cleared the dance floor!
The pools are perfect for kids (When working, Wave pool wasn't for 6 days) and the Adult pool is very relaxing.
Location. Yes it is very remote. There is a free bus to and from Corralejo (25minute journey) and you can hire a car from the resort, but very limited supply this time of year. The pre-paid transfer I did from the airport was a rip-off. Now I know, next time I'll hire a car from the airport for the whole holiday as it would work out cheaper. I did the Island in 4 days and then spent the rest of the time (of our 10 day holiday) relaxing by the pools or at Corralejo famous sand beaches.
The resort is massive and some of the villas are I'm guessing owned privately and also staff live in some. There is a separate swimming pool in the Oasis 3 area which is opened longer. The online site shop has everything you possibly need and is priced right. There is a separate Italian restaurant on site too, although we didn't eat in there as not part of the All-inclusive. Surfing shop there too, which we took up Wind-Surfing. (highly recommended)
There are Volcanos accessible from the nearby village of Lajares, which are free. You do not need a guide and the camels take much longer.
We drove up to the old capital of Betancuria (600years old). A very pretty village up in the mountains. This and the mountains are a must, great views!
I would recommend this resort highly. Thank you all.
