WORST HOTEL IVE EVER BEEN TOO!

I’ve been promised a 4 star hotel, and I got a room full of dust, smelly, and a sleeping room so small that I couldn’t open my suitcase inside it. Nobody cared about it and they said it’s their standards. They charged me for toilet paper (!!!), and for happy ending they also charged me 200€ at checkout for a lost key (the most common thing to lose in a ski vacation).

Our stay at La Tikal was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences we've had. While the hotel itself seemed decent, the service and the way they handle guests left a lot to be desired.

We stayed in room 401, and encountered multiple issues. First, we had no Wi-Fi in the room for the entire week. We reported this issue to the front desk multiple times, but each time we were told that they would "check" or "fix it soon"—yet nothing was ever done. As a result, we had to go to the lobby whenever we needed to use the internet, which was incredibly inconvenient.

Second, when we requested an extra blanket, nobody ever brought one. Again, we followed up multiple times, but they simply ignored our request. For a hotel that claims to be customer-friendly, this was completely unacceptable.

And to top it all off, after we checked out, we received an email stating that we were being charged €50 for leaving ‘trash’ in the room. In reality, we had actually cleaned the room ourselves before leaving, and the only thing we left was some unopened food in the fridge because we didn’t want to waste it. Instead of appreciating this, they used it as an excuse to fine us. When we tried to reason with them, they completely ignored our side of the story and insisted on charging us.

We had hoped for a better experience and fairer treatment, but unfortunately, La Tikal has proven that they care more about squeezing extra money out of their guests than providing good service. We won’t be coming back, and we strongly advise others to avoid this place.
