Built during the 1st century, it hosted gladiator’s show and is the 4th largest amphitheatre of Italy. Of course, you will need to visit a building recognized as the Capuleti’s house. Dating back to the 13th century, you will need to lift your head to see the famous balcony of Juliet’s house. Romeo’s house is located close to Arche Scaligere. The beautiful gothic façade is now a private home. Juliet’s tomb can also be visited in an ancient monastery of the Capuchin friars dating back to the 13th century. If you want to discover the medieval Verona, head to Piazza delle Erbe, a colourful market surrounded by historic monuments. It is the most ancient square in the city, with buildings dating back to the 13th century.
